Minneapolis saw a rise in burglaries in 2014 – a staggering number of 3,363 incidents made many residents feel uneasy. A police officer described the experience as a complete violation of privacy, which actually traumatized some of the victims. The police officer, who has been dealing with these types of incidents, suggests that residents make sure their home is not an easy target. This could mean anything from having windows open, to not having a security system in place.
South Minneapolis might not be the first place you think of in regards to criminal activity. This might explain why living there is a dream come true for most home owners. But a dream can turn into a nightmare, like it did for a homeowner whose house was burglarized. A drop camera was able to record the entire act as the intruder perused the entire home, stealing many items from computers to valuable keepsakes. Thankfully, the owners invested in a security system that was able to clearly see the criminal who is now being searched for.
